They say greed lit the match, that gold was at the root of this evil. The miners up near Devils Desk, Alaska, dug too deep, blasted too hard, and they broke something that can never be repaired. Quakes shattered ancient barriers creating a rift between worlds that had been sealed by an ancient race, and the domino effect of those first tremors rocked both the earth’s foundation and humanity’s.

Global devastation has brought an apocalypse, and the dwindling human race is forced to battle a vicious race of legendary monsters who are hellbent on their annihilation. Survival is no longer a right but a bloody fight.

Michael Talbot, his family and tribe (many of whom he has known in parallel existences), find sanctuary at the mansion of international billionaire, John “the Tripper” Stephenson. But as calls to arms become more difficult then impossible to ignore, they embark on a mission to lend aid to the last human holdout.

Once again, the Talbots are forced into the center of chaos, and this time, their journey begins on the other side of the world. Join Michael, BT, Trip and several familiar friends and villains as this latest terrifying adventure series continues!

Mike and the gang are back

Anything with the Talbots front and center is a blast. Mike, BT, and Trip were hilarious, and deeply human in this installment. We see a slightly deeper glimpse into Trip psyche and I found myself deeply sympathetic for the man. Need book 4 soon or its back to ZF for me, such a chore.

Need More!

Both author and narrator deliver a brilliant story. I have listened to almost all of these books, and I never get tried of them.

Another amazing Talbot adventure. Mark Tufo's writing continues to entertain to the highest degree and make me laugh outloud. Sean Runnette's narration as always is impeccable.

Mark Tufo stories are great, especially Mike Talbot related stories (does he do anything else?😂) loved the first two in the series and was really excited for this. Unfortunately it was not upto scratch. Seems like Mike is a different character for the first half, a whining little coward, it’s odd. It really doesn’t feel like the story moves on at all.

A real let down
