Devour. Level up. Repeat.

Upon awakening in an abandoned lab, Evelyn is empowered by a system that grants her bloody magical powers in exchange for finishing missions and consuming her enemies. She knows one truth: no matter the cost, she will advance. She'll manipulate allies and spread demonic corruption with a smile if that's what it takes to level up.

Her first mission is to escape the lab's other newly born creations. But once she steps foot into the world outside of the lab, she must contend with people who forbid her existence and who will work to eradicate those with her powers from the face of the planet.

The outside world may be vast and deadly, but Evelyn will be deadlier.

Don't miss the start of this action-packed series from Aaron Shih, a fast-paced litRPG progression fantasy novel featuring weak-to-strong progression, demons, an intricate magic system, and a whole lot of blood.

I really enjoyed this book, it is well written with good narration, each character has their own unique voice. Although the world building is good, more emphasis is put on developing the characters, especially the lead character. I hope the next one is released soon. Highly Recommend!

A Good Start to the Series

An objectively evil protagonist makes friends. It's got some interesting plot points that I won't spoil here (any more than I already have).

One big problem that some LitRPGs have in audiobook format is too much reading of stat sheets, which very quickly gets tiresome. Thankfully, there's not much of that here, and where there is, the stat sheets are fairly short.

Fun Premise

as I was saying the first book is a lie because I'm halfway through the second book and all the little niggles that are picked up in the first are amplified in the second the rules characters and even the system in the world and world building will change if the plot need to do plot armour character skills and abilities changing how they work the characters doing or saying things that are out of character for them one example which I will use because it's not too heavy on spoilers the main character has a healing ability when not in combat in the story at the Beginning it will start healing soon after combat ends even during one fight and the next later on it only heals when plot armor needs it to as you can tell by this review I have dropped this series a shame because the first book had a lot of promise shame it was a lie
