A cold case to solve. New truths to uncover. A killer to catch.

When the body of one of his own colleagues is found in Scarborough harbor, DCI Tom Raven throws himself into finding out what led to the young man’s death.

The killing shows similarities to the unsolved murder of the victim’s own mother. Might his off-the-books investigation into her case have got him into deep water? Or could his death be related to the attacks on women that are taking place at night? The dead man left a trail of cryptic clues to his final movements that might lead Raven to the truth.

Drawn into Scarborough’s shady night life in his quest to find the killer, Raven faces temptations of his own.

Set on the North Yorkshire coast, the Tom Raven series is perfect for fans of LJ Ross, JD Kirk, Simon McCleave, and British crime fiction.

I really like the Tom Raven series. The characters are believable and somewhat relatable. There's always a good twist to the stories which, unlike other 'whodunnits', I don't figure out until nearly the end.
a lot of negative comments about the narration ... I have no complaints personally and can't understand why these unfair comments have been made. I've definitely heard MUCH WORSE narrators, so much so that I cannot listen to the book. Each to their own!!

Another Great Story.

As other reviews have said, the book is great but the narration let's it down.

Love the book, not the narration

I enjoyed the book and have since bought most of the series - good to listen to

love thread that runs through the series, yet each book is stand alone

It's true, the narrator is pretty terrible, he does, however, 'grow on you' so after you've tolerated the first hour or so he is less dreadful that he seemed at first. Just like bad wine. drink enough of it and you stop caring!
The story is great though so if you can struggle through all that bad wine (whine?) then go for it.

Great story poor narration
