Unfocused, but in a good way. Theroux clearly enjoyed his trip and you will too.

Long, winding and satisfying

Paul digs deep into the Southern States of America speaking to the locals and revealing the innate inherent character of a fascinating and sometimes worrying part of the most powerful and influential country in the world. The voiceover is superb.

A very well narrated account of Theroux's latest work, always an absolute pleasure. Refreshing to hear "Mr. Paul" stay within the confines of America, and surprising at how it so resembles the Africa of Theroux's Dark Star Safari. I do wish somebody would commission the audio version of Patagonian Express

Everything Theroux writes is so thought provoking. The research undertaking is greatly appreciated. Have listened twice so far and read the book too .
