Özet
Meet Conor McBride. He's even more interesting than the trouble he gets into.
A talented Irish musician reluctantly reinvents himself, disappearing into an undercover identity to search for the man who ruined his career: his own brother. On a journey from the west of Ireland to the tumultuous city of Mumbai, Conor McBride's only goal is to redeem the brother who betrayed him. But he's becoming a virtuoso of a different kind in a dangerous game where the rules keep changing - and where the allies he trusted to help him may be the people he should fear the most.

"This is one of those times when a narrator lifts a good book just that much higher." (Audiothing)
"…sometimes you find a true gem out among the two- and three-star books. A gem just sitting there waiting to be noticed. This book is such a gem and it is worthy of your notice. It is an international thriller with a giant soul and a great deal of introspection. If you are looking for a 'shoot 'em up', this is not your book, even though there is plenty of shooting. It is the story of two brothers, and like all families, this family is complicated. The audiobook was read by Wayne Ferrell and he was amazing. His voice drew me right in and brought this excellent text to life. He demonstrated a mastery of multiple accents and, more importantly, carried the mood of the story in his tone and pacing as he read." (DWD’s Reviews)
"...expertly narrated by Wayne Farrell. His performance brought the characters to life and added the perfect amount of drama and angst to this well-written thriller." (Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards)
I’ve been listening to audiobooks for most of my life on vinyl, cassette and CD. However the narrator here is exceptional.Possibly the best I’ve listened to. I don’t usually write reviews but felt compelled on this occasion due to the versatility and the performance of the reader. Can’t believe it’s only one individual performing.
The story line is gripping with some very clever twists. The pacing of the story is just right in my opinion- I find with some books in this genre tend to be overly frenetic especially some of the later ones. The protagonists in the story are really well formed without excessive psychoanalysis (which can be tiresome in my opinion).
Great story wonderfully written and top class narration. Congratulations to all on creating such a triumph.
Great yarn fantastic narration.

Thats one of the many things that set this aside from a regular thriller. Rather than just your standard thriller, it delved into family issues and relationships and his own feelings and psyche!
The narration was perfect choice for the book.
I really enjoyed this book but at some points I zoned out for a bit, some bits maybe dragged on. But I couldn’t wait to find out what happened and towards the end couldn’t put it down.
Please note, I did receive a free copy of this book in return for an unbiased review.
A different type of thriller...
