Skulduggery, Valkyrie and Omen return in the 14th and penultimate novel in the internationally bestselling Skulduggery Pleasant series – and their most epic test yet…

In a matter of days, the world will change.

Billions of lives will be wiped away in a final, desperate search for the Child of the Faceless Ones — she who is destined to bring about the return of humankind's ancient overlords.

To prevent this, Skulduggery Pleasant and Valkyrie Cain have one last – terrible – option: the assassination of Damocles Creed. With protests stirring in the magical city of Roarhaven, with riots and revolutions on the horizon, Valkyrie must decide who she wants to be: the hero who risks everything for a noble ideal, or the killer who sacrifices her own soul for the fate of humanity.

The decision must be made, and time is running out.

Good story as ever.
Great banter, as always between Val and Skullduggery.
Good development of other characters.
But, yet again narrator is poor.People keep on saying this but the publishers won't listen.
A shane

Please change the narrator

Derek Landy hits it out of the park once again. After being somewhat disappointed with how many story lines were wrapped up so suddenly in the previous book, this was gets everything perfect! There are new and interesting developments and characters that are fascinating throughout! The narration is also hugely improved from the last book; it’s the same narrator but an impressively superior performance. Overall this is going to make every skulduggery fan very happy!

Amazing!

Great story. Lots if twists and turns but after Dying of the Light, the narrator cannot get the doctor's name or the school's name correct. It's like grit in soup. A stone in a sandwich. Plain lazy and irritating. Listen to the previous stories - or get somebody from the publisher to do it.

Great book. Know how to say the characters' names
