Joining us at Audible Studios is prominent stage and television actor David Tennant, who has narrated The War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells for Audible Studios.

The War of the Worlds depicts the arrival of an alien vessel on Horsell Common, in Woking.

The initial genial interest in the Martians quickly turns to terror as they emerge with deadly heat rays and power beyond our control and comprehension. Their ruthless disregard for human life leaves humanity under threat of extinction. As the world crumbles, a lone man sets out across the desolate wasteland to find his wife.

We spoke to David about his expansive career so far, how he got into acting, his audiobook experience and what his upcoming plans are.

Thanks! I also recommend Mr Tennant's reading of The War of the Worlds. He stated in the interview that it's up to other people to decide which of his performances is the finest, so here goes: Richard II with the RSC. :)

Interesting

He seems so enthusiastic when he talks, very charismatic, I do love Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds CD's and the original film and kind of like the Tom CRUISE later film. I think its time to read the novel.

He's a very energetic person.
