She was headstrong, fearless, and beautiful. She was just like her grandmother, the legendary Skye O'Malley.

Jasmine had been forced into marriage twice. Rebelling at King James's decree that she wed Jemmie Leslie, fifth earl of Glenkirk, she fled to France with her children. But her youngest, the illegitimate offspring of Jasmine's lover, Prince Henry Stuart, is also the king's only grandson. Now the man coming after her and her little boy is the man she both fears and desires....

Jemmie Leslie has come to France to possess Jasmine - by force if necessary. Though they shared a night of unforgettable passion, her rejection of their betrothal stunned and maddened him. Yet once he sees her again, Jemmie vows to win the elusive Jasmine back...and take her beyond ecstasy.

Contains mature themes.

The story was amusing in parts, but I cringed unbearably several times and regularly questioned the authors understanding of female anatomy...
All I'm saying is I wish the editor took the time to look at a diagram and check where the womb actually is so I didn't have to listen to a description of a 'love lance' ahem, peircing the womb.

The narrator did a truly marvellous job and somehow managed to play the whole thing straight. The historical setting is interesting and shows excellent research in parts, which makes the truely uncomfortable bedroom scenes somehow more bizzare.

I love a bodice ripping romance but I find myself wishing it would fade to black and spare my ears.

A decent book otherwise. I just don't think my cringe threshold is high enough to continue with the series. it's a shame because the plot is great!

Unironic use of the word 'Love Juice' need I say more...

Nice story but a little to long for me. Story good but could have been told in half the time

Very long!

Had to keep fast forwarding especially through the supposed to be Scottish bits! Strange mix between English,Irish and something else! Shame as it was probably a good story!

Awful narration!

The families' genealogies are as farfetched as a fantasy novel. The narrator's affectations are irritating. Too much sex.
