The second novel in the gripping supernatural thriller series from international bestselling author Jodi Taylor.

Betrayed, terrified and alone, Elizabeth Cage has fled her home. With no plan and no friends, she arrives at the picturesque village of Greyston and finds herself involved in an ages-old ceremony that will end in death.

And that might be the least of her problems - the Sorensen Institute would very much like to know her whereabouts. And Michael Jones is still out there, somewhere, she hopes. No matter how far and how fast she can run, trouble will always find Elizabeth Cage.

Jodi taylor is super at what she does. I Couldn’t put it down. Bizarrely reacted out loud on a few occasions!

was finally able to listen to the second book now they have recorded this again with the incomparable Zara Ramm narrating. I'm still not quite sure what I think about the Elizabeth Cage books. The 1950s housewife persona makes a bit more sense by the second and third books but it's still quite an oddly middle aged and old fashioned tone. Saying that, Jodie Taylor is always enjoyable even if it's not her best. And I'm definitely curious to see where these characters are going

so glad they recorded this again
