The trouble with life is it's sooooooo not fair. And the trouble with being grounded is it's sooooooo boring. You absolutely can't go anywhere at all. No hopping jumping, flying or parachuting . . . Who knew that it had invisible red germs that are so totally teensy and that Auntie Sue says give you tummy trouble? Daisy's trips to the loo are interspersed with hilarious musings about the trouble with everything, from her goldfish Freddie who thinks it's a dolphin, to the school name-caller Jack Beechwhistle, and hosepipes that don't do as they're told. Now, if only Daisy can find a word to rhyme with hippopotamus, she and Gabby can magic next door's cat into a hippo. When she's un-grounded and off the loo, of course . . .

Hilarious story and an absolutely brilliant narrator! Gullible Daisy is a funniest character ever. My children have listened to her musings countless times, and have read all other Daisy books - I only wish more of them were released in audio versions!

Hi I'm Furby Puppy I'm 8. I found this story really funny, especially the bit when the reader said "when I saw a half eaten dib dab on the floor all I did was see it, pick it up off the ground, put it in my mouth and eat it." With funny expression. I also liked the bit where Daisy's mum said "Not today Gabby, Daisy's grounded. Daisy did something very naughty yesterday so Daisy needs to think long and hard about the naughty thing she did yesterday. I'm sorry to spoil your fun but it's important that Daisy does some long hard thinking today", with lots of expression and a very parentish voice which I found really funny.
