Atlan Warlord Jorik guards the Coalition Fleet’s Processing Center on Earth, protecting warriors and brides without mercy or distraction...until he sees Gabriela. She is everything the beast within him craves. Soft. Curved. Unafraid. He dreams of courting her properly, wooing her into accepting his beast’s claim, and making her his - body and soul. Danger strikes, and his beast takes control - resulting in his immediate removal from Earth. From Gabriela.

Gabriela fell in love with an alien Warlord who fought to save her life, then disappeared, only to learn he was later killed in a battle with the Hive. She moves on with her life as best she can, with one beautiful reminder of their time together: a baby.

When she learns Jorik isn’t dead, but banished to the Colony, she and the baby are sent to find him. The problem? He’s not just contaminated, he’s been newly matched by the Interstellar Brides Program. And not to her.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story which was full of edge of the seat drama and loveable main characters

Great story

got hooked on grace goodwin a while ago and have gone through most of the ones included in the plus catalog so I thought I'd spend a credit and read this one...worst voice actor's yet. both were lack luster and the gentleman kept changing tempo and inflections making it hard to identify who was saying what and was just jarring over all, and up until now I've liked that they've used a variety of narrators but especially since this is a later book and not "included" I'd expect it to be of higher quality than it is. unfortunately, this being a paid audiobook has made me not want to pay/ use credits for anymore.

not for me.

3,5🌟 this story is much better and I think it’s because Grace Goodwin can write sweet, overbearing and protective aliens that are completely vanilla much better than she does anything kinky or bdsm related.
The story was sweet, had enough angsts and twists and turns to keep me interested. The spice was utterly boring and quite bland. The narration was good. But if I feel the need to speed up the narration then it doesn’t deserve more than a 3 🌟 rating.

Good one
