WHEN GLORY IS NOT ENOUGH - In the heart of 1930s Manchester, Johnny Cusick's story goes beyond the boxing ring. His saga began when he was twelve years old fighting in the streets of All Saints, escalating to the fervent Bloodtubs at fifteen, fought Jackie Brown and Johnny King at eighteen, claiming the title of world featherweight champion at twenty, won the British featherweight title at twenty-one and lost it at twenty-two.
This is the true story of a man's battles in the quest for a purpose. Cusick was an enigmatic figure and a paradox unto himself, consistently defying the archetypal boxer's mindset throughout his tumultuous journey. In his heart, he hated boxing. He possessed all the makings of a legend except the one critical component: passion.
