She’s stuck working a dead-end job in an isolated paranormal community. When they come under attack, can this snarky teen defend those she loves?

Kricket Jones is bored. Trapped with her family in a heavily warded enclave because of their dormant dragon DNA, the nineteen-year-old’s biggest adrenaline rush comes from crafting forbidden charms on the sly. But her mundane life takes a breakneck turn into danger when strange explosions rock the community and everyone in town falls under a mind-controlled spell.

Frustrated when the local gargoyle guards are more worried about her use of ancient magic than the mysterious invasion, Kricket dodges their handcuffs and sets out to reverse the curse. And as the determined young woman fights to rescue her vulnerable friends, her dramatic show of skill makes her a target for the unknown assailants and the supernatural council.

Can she unfurl her true talents without burning her home to a crisp?

Cursed Dragon is the suspenseful sixth standalone book in the Creatures of the Otherworld urban fantasy series. If you like resourceful heroines, dark humor, and edge-of-your-seat tension, then you’ll adore Brogan Thomas’s chaotic struggle for survival.

More of this wonderful writer's books. I have them all, and have listened to them with relish several times so they are like old friends. I am so grateful that these were narrated in the proper English style, with some great idioms. The characters are strong, with plenty of crossovers and adventure. I can't wait for the next one. Kudos to Poppy Royanna too.

Lloved this one. Kricket works on the till of a supermarket in a hidden town full of people with Dragon DNA. A devastating attack leave her fighting for her life and for the rest of the population. An entertaining urban fantasy with a heroine with attitude, a slow burn romance with lots of action. Pacy and fun, a little angst and some cameo appearances from some of the characters from other books in the series. Narration is excellent.
