Ignas Corvinus, ruler of Vlachia, has been captured by his worst enemies. A puppet ruler has been installed to lead the most powerful nation in Archemi, and he's doing his best to blame Hector Park, his dragon Karalti, and their allies for the world's problems.

Hector has only two words for him: They start with F and end with "you".

In the ongoing war between Archemi and the forces of the Void, the battle for the soul and throne of Vlachia is crucial. With one powerful nation recently conquered and the other being corrupted from within, the world's fate hinges on Hector leading his adopted homeland back from the brink—and perhaps playing a greater role in its future than he ever believed possible.

Join Hector and Karalti on this epic Final Fantasy-style LitRPG adventure, in which the heroes find love, triumph, and struggle against overwhelming odds in the battle to save their world. May contain creative swearing, military humor, and excessive dragons.

A great book. The first half of the story takes the plot to a much larger scale and it works really well. Then it's back to the usual action and adventure. There are lots of twists and turns, and I can't wait to see how they follow up the ending.

The performance was top notch as usual. I definitely noticed more music in this one butbit wasn't obtrusive and helped set the scene, so a great addition.

An increase in scale!

Honestly there are a few books in this genre that really have a kind of serious complex story or deal with issues that are both difficult or nuanced and this author writes the most fascinating and engaging stuff. I can't wait for the next one. I hope he gets it out soon.

Absolutely wonderful. Great book. Highly recommend

I could not put this book down... like at all... listening to Hector, Suri, Karalti and Rin. This book takes the previous ones and steps into the spotlight. Plans form and are acted out, there are good times, bad times, and descriptions on just why the villains are absolute scum.

James Osiris Baldwin has done spectacular. The story of this series has gone from strength to strength, the characters, places and races are all greatly distinct. The greatest act he has done as a writer though... he has made a villain that you truly come to hate, in every sense of the word.

SBT and Justin Thomas James have taken the bar and thrown it into the stratosphere. The background music and sounds are more prevalent here than previous entries. But has been used to such a perfect effect, illicitng physical reactions as it enhances each scene it is apart of. This is all without the stellar voice acting of the entire cast, Tethon and his 'Mrra?' in particular gives a great example of how some of these characters come alive.

So yea... for the love of the nine read this series!!!

What an experience!
