Billy is a young boy who lives in a house in England. One day, he is given a computer-generated emu, which is invisible to everyone but certain members of his family.
Billy has a cousin named Colin, a librarian who finds a magical phoenix bookmark that sees him drawn into the stories that he reads. This short story - 'Colin’s First Adventure' - is taken from much-loved author Merv Lambert’s first collection featuring Billy and his friends: Beware of the Emu.
Children will love 'Colin’s First Adventure', which is the perfect length for a bedtime story, or can simply be used to entertain at any time of the day.
Look out for more of Merv’s wonderful tales, available as eBooks and audiobooks and in print.
