More than 20 years have elapsed since the EMP and the country is still staggering. Americans that survived the trinity of the great die-off, the Second Civil War, and the regional Clan Wars are now suffering under the despotic whims of a usurper. Hundreds of thousands have been hunted down for their "patriotism". Millions more languish nationwide in labor and "re-education" camps. All the while, a new favored ruling class lives a life of hedonistic luxury.
Stealing elections and Tammany Hall back-scratching has become the new way of life as a former gang banger from the Bronx has assumed the Presidency. For 12 years, what was left of the American people suffered under the despotic rule of President Alejandro Calderon. Finally, the near-constant struggle just to simply stay alive has become too much to bear. The people are finally ready to rise up and follow someone, anyone, and fight back. All they need is someone willing to lead.
