Özet

‘Tis the season for secrets

Hana Choi’s best friend is about to marry her soulmate—the famous K-pop idol Jihoon who also happens to be Hana’s cousin—and Hana will need all her patience to deal with her family, the media, and most of all, the best man and K-pop royalty, Park Kitae. A.K.A. Hana’s secret forever crush and a major pain in her butt.

When the media frenzy around the wedding gets to be too much, Hana and Kit team up to plan a surprise Christmas Eve ceremony for their friends. With just twenty-five days on the clock and plenty of late nights, sparks begin to fly... especially after Kit confesses his feelings for Hana.

Worried about losing their friendship, Hana proposes a trial romance—sweet, secret, and perfectly timed while Kit’s in Toronto preparing to film his first TV role. But things heat up (and not in a good way) when Kit's on-screen chemistry with his co-star leads to a fake tabloid romance that Hana’s supposed to ignore.

It was like reconnecting with old friends. Learning what Hanna was up to and enjoying the excitement of her and Kit finding a new them while planning Ari and Jihoon's wedding. It was wonderful ❤️

Lovely sweet romance

decided to give this one a listen as it's the run up to Christmas and I love a good cheesy romance story, plus I didn't have to use any credits to listen to it!
It's not the worst story ever, but it just seemed a bit "meh" I'm afraid. I found it hard to empathise with the characters, and some of the arguments seemed to contain a bit of gaslighting (eg. when approching her partner with a problem, he blames her for not coming to him with it sooner, rather than addressing the root issue, she then accepts shes the issue). There were questions raised about peripheral characters that never really seemed to be answered and it wasn't really the "Hallmark B movie cheesy Christmas love story" with a fully tied-up-with-a-neat-bow ending that I'd hoped for.
That being said, I think the performance was really good, especially given the dual languages.
