Escape to the summer and feel the warmth of Sunday Times bestseller Paige Toon's storytelling.

Daisy has been dumped, unceremoniously jilted. Not by any ordinary guy, no... Daisy has a secret in her past that she won't even tell her best friend, Holly. She's given up on men – and on her own family. But life still has to be lived and where better to recover than as far away from home as possible.

Grabbing a chance to see the world, Daisy packs her bags and joins the team catering to the world's highest-paid, supercharged racing drivers on the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit. From Brazil to Italy, from Melbourne to Monte Carlo, life passes in a dizzying whirlwind. But nothing – and no one – can stop Daisy from falling again... this time for a man who is prepared to risk his life, and his heart, for the sake of speed, danger and ultimate success.

I had to stop listening to this book purely because the narrators' accents were so awful it was off putting. Particularly her attempt at a Scottish accent! It's a shame as the story line did appear to be quite good. However I didn't make it past chapter 5.

Awful Narration

As always Paige Toon has written a fantastic book. The main character is annoying in some places but has great character development. The performers accents can be a bit annoying especially when she switches between American and Scottish during characters conversations.

Great storyline

This was a step up from easy chick lit. It had the unexpected, and the setting of F1 was fun.

Twists and turns

Accents were off putting, the main character felt pretty unlikeable, very average storyline with one plot twist.

Great story as always from Paige. Sadly this was let down by the narration, it sounded false and had no feeling, so I couldn't enjoy the book as much as I have the others I have listened to! Such a shame.
