It all starts with a girl... (because yes, there's always a girl...)

Jason Priestley (not that one) has just seen her. They shared an incredible, brief, fleeting moment of deep possibility, somewhere halfway down Charlotte Street.

And then, just like that, she was gone - accidentally leaving him holding her old-fashioned, disposable camera, chock full of undeveloped photos...

And now Jason - ex-teacher, ex-boyfriend, part-time writer and reluctant hero - faces a dilemma. Should he try and track The Girl down? What if she's The One? But that would mean using the only clues he has, which lie untouched in this tatty disposable...

It's funny how things can develop...

Mackenzie Crook is best known for playing Gareth in The Office, a role for which he earned two BAFTA nominations, and Ragetti in the Pirates of the Caribbean films. He also provided his voice and movements to a character in Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin.

Wendy Wason was a regular in several comedy series such as Tittybangbang and The IT Crowd, and she has also appeared in Midsomer Murders. As a comedian, she has also had three successful Edinburgh Festival shows.

We loved this funny romance with a twist
A brilliantly funny boy-meets-girl story
A moving, funny, all-too-relatable tale of boy seeking girl, with some gripping twists and turns...an unmissable read which will have you laughing out loud and melt your heart, all at once
A very clever twist on the age old story of boy meets girl...brilliantly-conceived, funny and moving
Looks set to be this summer's One Day...a delight
My top tip for 2012's runaway success, with a very clever twist on the age old story of boy meets girl (Henry Sutton)

I'm a Danny Wallace fan, read a few things of his and always enjoyed them. F*ck You Very Much was excellent but I'll have to get a refund on this as it's just dull. The story didn't grip me enough to want to know what happens next. On top of that Mackenzie Crook's narration was sending me to sleep. Not great when driving...

Made me lose the will to live a bit...

Great story (read on kindle after failing to get into audiobook) shockingly bad narration, a damn shame.

Narration slaughters good book

Not what I was expecting from Danny Wallace when compared to his earlier books. I enjoyed the characters and the story line. I enjoyed the will they/won't they aspect and the various other story lines weaved through the main story. The characters were endearing. I enjoyed Mackenzie Crook's performance throughout.

A change from the norm.
