Who will win the war for my soul?

My return to my mates has brought unexpected joys - and warnings of danger to come. But as we prepare for war with the greatest enemies of the Mists, a new ally arrives with an even more dire revelation.

I haven't escaped the sadistic Murk king after all. His magic lurks inside me, sinking in its vicious claws. However he can use me to torment the fae I love, he will.

The man who once stood beside him may hold the key to saving all of us. But he and my mates have centuries of hate to overcome. Blood will be shed, lives will be lost...and one of them might be mine.

Chained Soul is the eighth book in Bound to the Fae, a new paranormal romance series featuring possessive shifters, dangerous fae politics, and a wounded heroine finding her strength.

Note: This book contains scenes of early pregnancy trauma.

Book 8 in the series. Eva Chase outdid herself once again. This tale has everything, romance, suspense, mystery, Betrayal and conflict between the 2 realms . I know Talia is suffering very much. Grab it and see what the Murk king did to her before she was let go .

Savannah Peachwood, Ryan West Performance is beyond fantastic. Strong, clear and steady

This is one of those series where you become totally enthralled by the storyline and even though you know that the book will end on a cliffhanger you can't stop listening. Fortunately, the wait between books isn't too long but even so, I admit to hating the wait. With each instalment, we learn more about the characters as the talented Eva Chase gives us greater insight into what makes them tick.

This book picks up where the last book left off with Talia safely back with her mates due to the help given her by Madoc, a Knight of Orian's Murk Court. Unfortunately, she's not escaped unscathed, Orian has now triggered a new curse this one on Talia herself, she's now become his latest tool to destroy the Fae of the Mists starting with her beloved mates.

Madoc is sent into the Mists by Orian to spy on Talia and to report back on how well his plan is working but Madoc, wants peace between the Fae of the Mists and the Murk, he doesn't want an all-out war and the deaths that will bring on both sides. He presents himself to Silas and offers his help to bring this about but will the Fae overcome their prejudice against the Murk? Can Madoc be trusted? Or is he following Orian's orders?

As he tries to convince the Fae that in this instance he can be trusted his hopes are thwarted at every turn and we are left with more questions and even more plot twists. Of all the books this one moved me most, the story is so sad as it seems that no matter what Talia and her four mates will be forever parted. There is so much love, so much heartache and yet so much hope. Keep your tissues handy because this book the penultimate one in this series is the most heart wrenching yet breathtaking so far. I am, of course, eager to listen to the next book but in a way, I'm dreading it too because that will mean my visits to the mists are over.

The narration for this book, the whole series, in fact, is by Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West who do such a wonderful job and as they bring the characters to life.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

I thought this would surely be the end, the war between the different fae but no. The rat king was far for devious and the story kept me listening late into the night on the edge of my seat.

I need the next one

I thought this was the end but no!

This book pulls at your emotional strings a lot more than any other book in the series so far. You will have ups and downs and will fill aches, tears, and elation! Not sure one of the story lines I approve of but I have to know how it ends so I WILL be listening to the last book!!

Emotions- all of them
