Özet

Based on the characters Simon and Baz who featured in Rainbow Rowell's bestselling Fangirl, Carry On is a ghost story, a love story, a mystery and a melodrama.

It has just as much kissing and talking as you'd expect from a Rainbow Rowell story – but far, far more monsters.

Simon Snow just wants to relax and savour his last year at the Watford School of Magicks, but no one will let him. His girlfriend broke up with him, his best friend is a pest and his mentor keeps trying to hide him away in the mountains where maybe he'll be safe.

Simon can't even enjoy the fact that his room-mate and longtime nemesis is missing, because he can't stop worrying about the evil git. Plus there are ghosts. And vampires. And actual evil things trying to shut Simon down. When you're the most powerful magician the world has ever known, you never get to relax and savour anything.

Eleştirmen yorumları

One of the most anticipated YA titles of the autumn . . . this will be a big one.
Rowell's magical world is finely drawn
Thrilling and sexy, funny and shocking, deeply moving and very, very magical. Trust me, you have never, ever seen a wizard school like this. (Lev Grossman, author of The Magicians)
The funny, wised-up dialogue, the tumultuous, sweet, and sexy love story is grade-A Rowell . . . a book that readers will find almost impossible to put down. (Publishers Weekly)
Full of heart and humor, this fantastical tale is a worthy addition to the wizarding school genre. (People Magazine)

The poetry in the mundane everyday. Witty & powerful in her telling of a story about life & things that happen to be.

Loved it.

Words cannot describe how much I loved this book! Euan Morton’s narration was incredible, I especially loved the way he changed his voice for each character (especially for Baz, very classy)
I will admit it took a bit long to start, the first 100-150 pages didn’t hold much value to me, but it did a good job at describing what happened before hand without shoving the information down your throat.
One of my favourite parts was the romance! It was so nice and cute and lovely and it made me smile so much. I can find that some kiss’s in books tend to be either to descriptive or not descriptive enough but this was perfect.
The whole universe it was set in was so good and fascinating, it makes me want to learn more.
For lack of a better word, this book was fan-flipping-tastic! I highly recommended it to any romance/fantasy fans out their.
Hope this review helped and have a great day :)

I've struggled to keep listening to books due to school work and a low attention span but I could not bring myself to stop listening to it! Simon and Baz are absolute sweethearts, the characters are all flawed and developed, the writing style is SO perfectly a well-written fanfiction that you find of AO3 with "Angst with a happy ending" and "slow burn" in the tags! Can't wait for the next instalment in the series!!

SO good!
