Part of a new look for Hercule Poirot for the 21st Century.

Read by Hugh Fraser, who plays Captain Hastings in the popular TV series.

Mr Shaitana was famous as a flamboyant party host. Nevertheless, he was a man of whom everybody was a little afraid. So, when he boasted to Poirot that he considered murder an art form, the detective had some reservations about accepting a party invitation to view Shaitana’s private collection.

Indeed, what began as an absorbing evening of bridge was to turn into a more dangerous game altogether…

Agatha Christie weaves an intricate web of lies and deception and there are so many red herrings I must admit I was drowning in them, but dear Hercule Poirot forged a path through them all and eventually brought us to a satisfactory conclusion

Well read by ‘Captain Hastings’ - Hugh Fraser

The complexities of Bridge are a closed book to me, so was a bit bamboozled by the importance of the game in this ingenious whodunnit. Great characters, and I especially love any story where Ariadne Oliver makes an appearance. Hugh Fraser is an excellent narrator. You almost feel as if you're listening to the actual characters. His narration has the effect of conveying the story without you noticing him as a separate person, so that the action flows very smoothly.

An ingenious plot
