Nice read, with a gripping plot twist at the end… I always struggle either way books like these - characters are interesting with a story which has potential to give them depth, but I feel that the book just touches upon the surface of what it could be. I like stories to be a bit more complicated highlighting the various angles in the character’s life. Nothing is black and white so I usually like stories to dive into the intricacies of life. The female narrator seemed to be on edge all the time, even when not needed for the story. The male narrator was more pleasant to listen to. The seemingly easiness with which they get together out of nowhere is also surprising seeing their personal history/story…. It was nice enough though.
