Detective Drake Lewis is tough, focused, and unbending. He has no problem keeping his workaholic professional life completely separate from his lonely personal life. Drake has never met a man who could pull him from his job.

Until he does.

Liam Walters is a construction foreman with a painful past. He’s happy with himself and what his life has become. When his path once again crosses with Drake’s, Liam is willing to take whatever Drake can offer him.

For now.

Buried Secrets is a stand-alone male/male romance with suspenseful elements. This story has bits and pieces of opposites-attract, hurt/comfort, and redeemed by love tropes. Trigger warning: This story has the mention of childhood trauma.

Loved it..... Realy enjoyed this taking you on a journey of murder, suspense and love when bodies start being found buried in concrete one after the other on a construction site who are they and who's the murderer and why has he done it that's what detective Drake as to find out and being there he meets Liam again who he had one night with but realises he can't stay away from these two together are so perfect the chemistry between them instant. And Christopher Solon as done an amazing job with narration so good. 💞💞

It felt like a random episode of a good criminal series. Good but it didn’t hit me deep.

I think I hoped for the relation between Liam and Drake to evolve and grow around the case. But even if they both in different way were connected to the crimes their relationship was a separate story.

Christopher Solon did a good job with different voices to easy separate the different characters.

A good story

I need to confess that I have read just a very few books written by A.D. Ellis, but I am always amazed by the style and general outline of her stories. This book is not exception and the captivating plot, kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time, with a very witty mystery to solve while Liam and Drake found their path together. Besides the engaging story, the narration is simply wonderful. Mr Solon made an amazing job with balancing out the interesting plot and the banter and interactions of the characters in a very skillful narration. I loved the way he uses his great talent to bring alive these characters, and hearing them telling us their lives was a treat. A great narration of a wonderful book!

Drake is a hard working detective who is content with hookups, oh, and he is not out at work. Liam, out and proud, is also not looking for commitment. That changes when they meet again at a crime scene (though they don't know it).
The story is aptly named, with murder bring said secrets to the forefront. I enjoyed that aspect - the murder/mystery. I also found myself wondering if these 2 men would bend sufficiently to make a go of starting a romance. You'll have to listen/read the book to find out 😀

I really enjoy listening to Christopher Solon. He has a great voice, it's easy to know who's talking and how the characters are feeling - this narration was no different. Always a pleasue to listen to his work. Definitely recommend the story and narration!
