Rapes, kidnappings, and murders are among the many true crime topics this book explores. It is a fascinating look into the variety of killers that have plagued the United Kingdom since the 1940s. This collection of more than 70 profiles includes some of the most famous British killers such as John George Haigh, Ian Brady, Myra Hindley, as well as more recent killers like Salman and Hasbed Abedi, the perpetrators of the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing.

This book is a testament to how low human nature can get and offers a comprehensive breakdown of the cases’ key dates before looking into the gritty details. In each chapter, you will learn about the origin of the word “serial killer”, dispel common myths about murderers, and get one step closer to understanding why people kill.

While some of these killers may be infamous, this book features gruesome details that will surprise even the most knowledgeable true crime fan. Extensively and meticulously researched, it aims to honor the victims and shed light on the depravity of their killers.

I found this audiobook quite good due to the way it was set out ie into decades (1990-2000). Also there was known and to me unknown killers within the 70 killers named.

There’s a decent amount of information on each person and what they done just wish it was longer with much more info but that’s my opinion not criticism

The narrator does a good job with this work and kept me entertained if that’s a good word for a book about murder, serial killers, rapists etc.

Highly recommend to true crime fans who might get more info about their favourite cases.

I received this title free from the author for a fair and unbiased review

Decent Enough

Other than a few minor inaccuracies I thought this was a well researched and interesting book. Quick overviews of each case, but enough detail to cover the basics for each. All the big-hitters are here plus some interesting lesser known names. Will listen again which is always a good sign!

Concise overviews

very dull listen that 'brushes' over cases.no real insights, just stories that any true crime fan would've read/heard before
