From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Carrie Ann Ryan comes a sexy new contemporary series.

Devin Carr likes his life. He likes his job, his family, the outlook for his future. Then he meets her. Erin. As soon as he sees her, drunk and wearing a sequined dress as her world crashes down around her and she fights to put on a brave face, he knows what he’s been missing. Her.

When Erin Taborn finds her high school sweetheart and husband banging the former head cheerleader of their graduating class at their high school reunion, she tells herself she’ll be fine. She just needs to figure out what fine means. There’s only one problem. Devin. She didn’t plan on him. And for someone who thinks they have all their plans in place, that’s a problem.

One she’ll have to find an answer to if this whole friends-with-benefits thing is going to work. If not, she’ll fail just like with everything else.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it immediately grabbed my attention and held it straight to end. The characters are realistic and easy to relate to. Erin and her husband Nicholas have been together since they were 14 years old, that ended at their H.S reunion, when she finds him pants down and in the former head cheerleaders. What a jerk that guy was, I was glad Erin walked away with out a glance. Upset with what she saw she went straight to the bar. Devin Carr is enjoying his beer when he sees Erin, she is a wreck but she is just want he needs. I liked Devin, a nice guy, he was great for Erin if she would just let him in. Erin had self-worth issues and was insecure, she did not want anymore serious relationships, she could not handle any more heartbreaks. She told Devin and while he wanted more she would take what he could get and was fine with settling with friends with benefits. But when she finds herself getting too attached she pushes him away. Realizing too late she made a huge mistake, can Devin forgive her. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is well plotted with drama, angst, some heartfelt moments, heartbreaking ones and some hot romance, all leading to a great second chance to live and love. Thank you Carrie Ann Ryan for another great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

Samantha Cook and Jacob Morgan are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They bring the characters to life give each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. Their portrayal of the characters is spot on, they sounded as I pictured them to. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Jacob Morgan is the only reason I keep listening.. the female narrator is boring, reading and not interpreting the story, sometimes boring and over-accenting every letter, every word. Too flat, no real emotion.
Really enjoyed Jacobs chapters, as usual.. he could read the dictionary and I would listen.

Good story, but..

The narration is excellent. Great story and looking forward to hearing more from this author who is new to me.

Super performances!

I wasn't keen on the female narrator. To my ears, she came across as rather monotone, so I'm rather disappointed that she's the female narrator throughout the series. The heroine, though, didn't have enough of a backbone when it came to her husband. She got internally angry when he slagged her off when he came to pick up the rest of his belongings that she very kindly stored for him, but didn't say a word in defence of herself! I also found it really annoying when she started looking for her useless father, who had left the family when she was very young (taking all their savings and their birth certificates with him) but she had very little sympathy for her mother who legged it to a commune when she (the youngest child) turned eighteen.

A fairly enjoyable story

I have a really hard time with stupid heroines and this one is really stupid from time to time. Otherwise an easy read with really good narrators.

Good but...
