She Cut My Heart Open....

I only meant to steal a car. I didn't know I was stealing a girl, too. Until the most gorgeous face I'd ever seen popped up in the rear-view mirror.

I fell hard, fast, and forever....

But she tore out my heart - left me alone and bleeding.

How can I forget her, when I have to see that damned perfect face on billboards and magazines?

It's torture.

Nine long years. I thought I moved on.

Then I saw her in the flesh....

And my heart started bleeding all over again....

Bloody Heart is the angst-ridden fourth installment in the Brutal Birthright series. It's a stand-alone second chance mafia romance, with a HEA and no cliffhanger. Contains steamy scenes.

The Lark Notes:

At long last, Dante's story! I know you guys were the most excited for this one. It's my longest book yet - epic in story, timescale, heartbreak, and angst. And epically spicy too - be warned! There's a scene with a belt that had me dragging Mr. Lark into my writing room. As an added bonus, you'll meet Raylan, who will return as the hero of Broken Vow. --Sophie

I received this audiobook via a promo code at my request from The Flock & Audiobook Obsession and this is my voluntary review.

I have so much love for this series. Book 4 and the writing just keeps getting better (Kudos to Sophie Lark!)

Dante Gallo has long been one of my favorite characters in this series and the romance he has with Simone has some of my favorite elements, first loves, Mafia, second chance romance AND High Stakes Action mixed with secret baby drama. It was like chocolate sprinkles, chocolate sauce AND a flake in my double chocolate chip ice-cream, never enough of a good thing!

I had thought the second book in the series was my favorite but now its got some competition. I loved that this book involved consequences from the events from book two and that was a great lil tie in to the grittier tones of book one and two after the lighthearted Oceans Eleven Heist elements of Savage Lover.

Narration was so good I devoured the entire book in one sitting... and then had several repeats of my favorite parts.

Bloody Heart by Sophie Lark is a second chance mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Josie Kunz and Alan Carlson. This is the forth book in the Brutal Birthright series and each book can be read as a stand-alone.

I absolutely love Sophie’s books! This series just keeps getting better and better. I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the relationship that between Siomone and Dante. I can’t wait for the next book in the series Broken Vow to be released on audio so I can get Riona and Raylan's story.

Josie and Alan did a great job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I can’t wait to listen to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you love mafia romance, second chance romance, contemporary romance, or romantic suspense.

Dante Gallo is the oldest son and brother of the family in previous books it had been mentioned that he loved and lost but we never knew the woman responsible. Simone is a young woman with family obligations that wants a career as a fashion designer. They meet under crazy circumstances and hit it off. He’s older she is naive and she lets her parents run over her. What her parents do to her is heart wrenching and changes a person for life. I loved delving into their story in the past. The present storyline with the villain was kind of weak.

Finally Dante’s story

I so wanted Dante's story, definitely, the oldest Galo Brother delivered a story full of angst, it was so intense, it's kind of a Beauty and the Beast type of story, Simone was an interesting character, coming from a different side of the coin, I liked her but my heart belongs to Dante, he is loyal and rough. The audiobook is narrated by Alan Carlson and Josie Kunz, they did a good job portraying the characters, the edition was well done and definitely give it an extra to the story that I recommend to get it.

Another brilliant story
