I loved the narrator in the first book, and she is excellent when narrating the main characters. Her 'Scottish' accent is, however, truly awful ('offensively bad' as described by my Scottish husband). I had a really hard time following the dialogue in these bits, and because it is so distracting, it takes from the story. I know it's tough doing accents, but maybe a separate narrator doing those bits would have worked better?
