I can't believe someone (as mentioned in the writers notes) complained about this man being a Christian hater, it's a dark ages fact/fiction book... no room for wokeism here. Amazing piece and Halfdan 's relationship with his crew is magic 4th time listening to the series now

A great way of telling a much rehashed genre of books

sometimes is boring, much different from the other books of this author as in "pretorian"

s j turney is a great writer, and I have lots of his books on audible and paperback. for this reason compared with others although enjoyable, I've given it 4☆, the story is as well researched but slow to unwind. hopefully book 2 in constantinople will explode with intrigue and action.
malk Williams is flawless as ever in his narration.

Much of the book is the gathering of the crew of a small dragon ship and their exploits on the vault to settle the title

I enjoyed reading Praetorian by the same author so decided to give this a go on audible. Unfortunately I am not going to finish : nothing has happened yet and the narrator is underwhelming
