Özet
His first, last, and only true love has always been rugby. Until now. She's damaged. He's determined. Fate brought them together. Love binds them. Johnny Kavanagh has everything going for him. On the rugby pitch, he's a force to be reckoned with. Primed for stardom, he's heading straight for the top. Nothing can possibly get in his way, right? Not even the shy new girl at Tommen College. The one with the sad eyes and hidden bruises. The one that distracts him like no one ever has. Plagued with a hidden injury and desperate to impress the scouts watching his every move, Johnny has been placed on a pedestal so high, he has no room to make mistakes. Johnny needs to keep his head in the game. He needs to stay focused and cannot afford to let distractions get in the way of the big picture. But what happens when a lonely girl with sad eyes becomes the only picture? Two teenagers from opposite sides of the tracks collide in the first audio instalment of Binding 13. Based in Ireland, the Boys Of Tommen series is bound to captivate and lure you into the world of rugby, love, and teenage heartbreak.©2014 Chloe Walsh (P)2019 W. F. This is one of those can’t put it down need to know what happens next books.
The male narrators accent was very off putting at first as it is not accurate or consistent for where the character is from but you get used to it because the story is so gripping.

Gripping Story

Shocking Dublin accent for Johnny Kavanagh. Actor is from Belfast, but cannot do an authentic Dublin accent. Hugely disappointing producers didn’t cast one if the many brilliant Dublin actors/narrators like Stephen Hogan or any other young Irish / Dublin male. Putting me off finishing any of the other books in the series highly suggest it it’s a re-recorded as once this TV show errors the interest in the books will grow.

Pity about Johnny Kavanagh’s woeful Dublin accent. Hugely distracting / off putting.

Good storyline. Relatable main characters, good comic relief side characters. My only criticism would be that everyone feels older than their stated age. Their thinking and actions are more like early twenties. The parents, (with the exception of Shannon's for plot reasons) are always conveniently distant and absent, kids live individual lives like adults. Otherwise, good read!

Good read, offset with comical elements despite heavy topics
