What made the experience of listening to Big Magic the most enjoyable?

It's a great book - super inspiring and helpful in uncovering lost or dormant creativity. Gilbert is also a fabulous narrator - makes you feel as if she's speaking straight to you! Couldn't "put it down", as it were.

This book illustrates a very freeing attitude towards aspects of life and encouraged me to look deeper within myself. Very inspiring words.

A very well written and read book. Lots of good sensible advice and ideas. The central theme of creativity being within and outside the artist at the same time is helpful. Creative ideas are to be treated as welcome guests and not solely dependent upon the person they call on. Ideas are out there and if you don't grab them and enjoy them someone else will. Also, don't torture yourself, it doesn't help.
