Özet
The scalpel goes down. The gown is discarded. The chatter stops. Heads turn expectantly.
'Well, Doc, what happened? Have we got a murder on our hands?'

For more than 30 years, bodies have been Dr Marie Cassidy's business. The lucky ones have died peacefully in their own beds, surrounded by loved ones. But that's not always the case.

In her international bestseller, Marie invites us into the world of forensic pathology and her remarkable personal journey, from working-class Glasgow to being Ireland's head pathologist for nearly 15 years.

Involved in the most high-profile cases in the country, Marie shares the intricate processes central to solving modern crime, inviting you to go beyond the tape.

Follow her onto the scene of the crime and walk in her footprints - but don't touch anything. Remember, every contact leaves a trace . . .

promising but couldn't bear the lip smacking noises of the narrator which detracted from what seemed a promising account

As a great admirer of Dr Cassidy long before the book I was thrilled to hear it in her own voice. A fascinating account of a very interesting life’s work. Honest from start to finish I couldn’t recommend this book more.

Fascinatingly Honest

Once I got used to the narrator (authors) accent then it was an excellent listen.

Factual and informative

Left wanting more books and for you to narrate others, I listened to this years ago and still think it’s my favourite I’ve ever listened to.

Fussy about narrators? You’ll love Dr Cassidy

Apart from the author reading fast and yes you can slow it down in audible, her pauses in between paragraphs need to be slightly longer as it is easily missed when she goes into a new sentence potentially about something else. This book is interesting and riveting in places and is a worthwhile listen . Thank God for Science and people like this author who with their expertise can tell the story of the dead and bring Justice.

Incredibly interesting
