A secret kept, a queen hidden, and her warriors lost.

Afflicted by a mysterious and terrible illness that's haunted me since childhood, I’ve resigned myself to living life as a burden to my family. Until a fae knight comes to my village and tells me that everything I know is a lie.

It seems impossible, but he swears that I’m a fae queen, raised in the mortal realm for my own safety. And the time has come for me to return home to Faerie and rule.

Only my queendom isn’t what it once was. It’s fractured, divided, broken. And the men of my royal guard—a group of deadly and eccentric warriors sworn to protect me—have disappeared, scattered to the wind. I have to reunite them if I want to have any chance of surviving the war that has consumed the land, and the invaders at our gates.

This is a slow burn reverse harem novel intended for mature listeners only.

I love the book series - and this is a great way to re-experience the start of Rose’s story. The narrators do a fantastic job, and bring Rose and her world to life. A really great listen.

A great listen

It has been a while since I enjoyed a series so much. I also love how this is a reverse harem slow burn!! there aren't many of these and I love it. The worldbuilding is top tier also!

this series deserves more attention!!

This series is a slow burn romantasy. The FMC turns 25 thinking she’s human to find out that she’s a fae. Not just any fae but the queen of all fae. She was given to humans to raise until her 25th birthday where her guards/mates come for her to take her back to faerie where she has to learn how to be a queen not only that she has to learn read, write and fly. This is a why choose. One queen 5 mates/guards. Book 1 is her learning she’s fae and to find her mates. Book 2 one of her mates made a choice to be her mate so he could give her to his father and book 2 is her escaping his father and him trying to get her to for give him. Book 3 she touring her kingdom and the different courts but unfortunately she has a traitor amongst her party of mates and advisors. All books end on a cliffhanger. These books are narrated in duet. Jake ceases to surprise me by the amount of different accents he can do. Both narrators did a fantastic job.
