Özet
Dan Raglan, former Foreign Legion fighter, alias The Englishman, returns. The new high-octane international thriller from David Gilman.

Someone's going to start a war. And Raglan's just walked into the kill zone.

It has been many years since Dan Raglan served in the French Foreign Legion, but the bonds forged in adversity are unbreakable and when one of his comrades calls for help, Raglan is duty-bound to answer.

An ex-legionnaire, now an intelligence officer at the Pentagon, disappears. He leaves only this message: should he ever go missing, contact Raglan. But Raglan's not the only one looking for the missing man. From the backstreets of Marseilles, Raglan finds himself following a trail of death that will lead him to Florida, to the camaraderie of a Vietnam vet in Washington D.C., and into the heart of a bitter battle in the upper echelons of the US intelligence community.

Pursued by both the CIA and a rogue female FBI agent, Raglan's search will place him in the cross hairs of an altogether more lethal organisation. Tracking his old comrade, he finds himself in the midst of deadly conspiracy, and on a journey to a fatal confrontation deep in the Honduran rainforest.©2022 David Gilman (P)2022 Head of Zeus Action & Adventure Espionage International Mystery & Crime Mystery Mystery, Thriller & Suspense Political Spies & Politics Suspense Thriller & Suspense Kurgu Heyecan verici

Superb narration by Matt Addis. Not exactly Booker prize literature, but a gripping and action packed story which is well-enough written to thoroughly enjoy.

Wonderful for keeping me going on long walks!

Like the way Gilman writes. Draws you in ., lots of action all the way through...easy to follow plot from setting to setting with a nice confusing guessing game going on as to who and why he is being targeted and who are the masterminds pulling the strings. Eventually rewarded with action packed final chapter and all in all story threads come together nicely
An enjoyable read which I could not put down.

Easy listening

The Englishman books are fast paced, the plots are unpredictable and the characters are so realistic, you can't but love or hate them.

The plot is high octane, highly cerebral and has more twists and turns than a country road.

David Gilman brings Raglan to life, you find yourself willing him on, he is a no nonsense man who has his own brand of justice and is loyal to thise he cares about and those he served with.

Raglan is the thinking person's gritty, unorthodox action hero.

Gilman is a master of the action packed thriller
