A chilling psychological thriller for fans of Gillian Flynn, Nicci French, Sophie Hannah, S. J. Watson and Elizabeth Haynes that will haunt you long after you've finished listening....

In this dark psychological thriller, Olivia Taylor believes she has suffered the worst life can throw at her after the breakup of her marriage. Full of hope, she starts a new life with her nine-year-old daughter, Ellie, only to find the worst is yet to come.

Meeting Michael Crossman is the beginning of an unspeakable nightmare for Olivia, and her world slowly unravels. It is only through the retelling of her story that we piece together what has led her to become a mere shadow of the woman she once was.

I did see the ending coming however and I felt it ended rather abruptly without much explanation...

I was hooked immediately. I knew there would be a twist but it was still a shock when everything was revealed. Highly recommended!

Gripping and Compulsive

captivating story which is well written but a horrible and utterly flat ending. the main character is a flaky and weak person with severe pychological issues. implausible at times.

page turner but a complete fail at the end

This book was a hard listen. Soft spoiler alert- it was frustrating for alot of the book, wondering why the main character stays with M. He is weird, controlling and coercive but 3/4 of the way in he suddenly has a cry and changes??! Interesting read but Definitely not on my favourite/could read/listen again list.

The whole time, I wanted to give her a slap and tell her to quit thinking with the wrong bit of her anatomy! As a mother who claimed to love her daughter, she made some supremely selfish decisions.

Main character so annoying!
