Margaret held high hopes of a successful London season—until scandal found her.

Years of isolation made the scrutiny of the ton unbearable. To navigate the season, Margaret finds refuge in her childhood friend, Adam. But sharp tongues and gossip soon cause her to flee London in humiliation. A summer day, reminiscent of their youth, leaves Adam and Margaret in a compromising situation. A very poorly written book. A period drama set in the early 1800’s. Repeated dialogue and situations with characters to the point I felt, have I already just listened to this? Narration flat and below average quality I expect on Audible. At one point the characters were described as walking out through the patio door, was that even a thing in that era? I wouldn’t recommend this one.

There's not much of a plot and some behaviours are odd. The language and behaviour is at time out of period.
