Another great addition to the series. I didn’t realise I needed Cain story till I listened to this one.
Kennedy and Cain are made for each other and it was such an easy listen. Love the twist in this one with the family. I was annoyed some forgiving was done easy but I guess with what happens it could be expected.
Loving Catherine cowles books, going back through old one and keeping up with new ones.

Having already been introduced to both Cain and Kennedy in the previous books, I was really looking forward to finally getting their story, and it didn’t disappoint. They’re both carrying the weight of their pasts in different ways, and I enjoyed watching them slowly let each other in as their relationship developed.
There were a couple of suspense storylines running alongside the romance and, while I enjoyed both, I did feel Cain’s storyline was wrapped up a little too quickly. I also would’ve liked him to open up to Kennedy about his sister a bit earlier, as I think it would’ve made that part of his journey even more impactful.
Still, this was another really enjoyable read, and I’m looking forward to finishing the Sutter Lake series with the final book.
