"We live in a sports crazed culture, and every family wants to have their kids pretty much play a sport because all of these life lessons you learn from sport."

Travis Vaughn is the Director of Market Research, Product Development, and Marketing at Upward Sports, the largest youth recreation sports ministry in the United States, where over 225,000 kids compete each year across sports like basketball, soccer, flag football, and more. In this episode, Travis chats with Luis about how Upward Sports was started, how they are looking to expand, who is a good candidate for participation, what their mission is, how churches are taking the lead in this endeavor, his personal running, how he got started running, qualifying for Boston Marathon, and dealing with injury.
