Özet
The investigator takes the half-finished manuscript to Elena Voss, the Maestro's sister: sixty-eight, a cellist, the only person alive who shared his practice room. Held to the window light, the heavy note-heads line up into twelve buried bars — and Marco calls with the match: the forty minutes of tape play those same twelve bars. A dead mother's lullaby, known by two people, performed by nobody.
