Kimi Antonelli is the 2026 Formula One World Champion, and at 20 years old he is the youngest in the history of the sport. The record he broke belonged to Sebastian Vettel, who was 23 years and 134 days old in 2010 and had held it for sixteen years. Antonelli needed only a ninth-place finish in Mexico City to clinch it. He finished third, passing Charles Leclerc on the inside at Turn 1 at the restart rather than settling for what he needed. Max Verstappen won the Grand Prix from fifth on the grid, holding off Lewis Hamilton by 0.799 seconds. Hamilton started from pole and lost the lead at Turn 4 to his own Ferrari teammate, then spent seventy laps trying to get it back. The race was red-flagged after Valtteri Bottas crashed heavily at Turn 1 with a suspension failure, and five drivers picked up time penalties. Greeny and Cheese cover the title, the Quizmaster's Cockpit on the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, Winners and Losers, a Slap of the Week aimed at the Ferrari pit wall, the Esteban Ocon situation at Haas, and a Greenybucks ledger where both hosts lost money for the second week running. Next up: the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos on Sunday, November 8. In The Paddock is published within hours of almost every Grand Prix podium.
