From The Shadow: “The Touch of Death,” originally broadcast May 19, 1946. Commonly cataloged as episode 372, this Mutual Broadcasting System production was sponsored by Blue Coal and stars Bret Morrison as Lamont Cranston/The Shadow, with Grace Matthews as Margo Lane.

When Lucius Hawkes claims to possess a deadly touch—and knows Lamont Cranston’s connection to the invisible crimefighter—Lamont is forced into a dangerous game of pressure, threats, and deception. Written by Stedman Coles, this suspenseful remake of a 1943 Shadow story places Cranston’s civilian identity and those around him in peril.

The Shadow presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
