Leaving behind the people she loves most in the world, Ashen sets off into the wilderness in hopes of finding the elusive group of rebels know as the "Consortium".

But, when she finds herself among strangers in the former ski town locals have named the "Bastille", secrets begin to reveal themselves, friendships prove as fragile as glass, and Ashen begins to understand just how powerful her enemy really is.

When her brother, Kel, goes missing, Ashen is forced to return to the place she despises...where she's faced with a cruel and brutal choice that will break her heart.

This is the second book in the Cure Chronicles.

This was a very enjoyable sequel, and I’ll be moving on to the next to uncover the full mystery.

Clearly you can see the influences to the author - The Hunger Games, The Handmaiden, The Greek epic with the Owl ! … all brought together well

Interesting world with enough mystery to keep you going

I have to say I am really liking this series. As I think my review mentioned on book 1, some of it is a little improbable and formulaic (teenage girl succeeds where no one else can) but it is still an engaging read.
Also this is young adult fiction and I am in no way a young adult but just shows it is a good read for all ages.
Honestly if you liked Hunger Games and Divergent you will love this.

Excellent sequel
