Both beautiful and irreverent, this mixture of text and comic strip details the goddess’s birth from her father’s head 'dressed in shining armour, ready to do battle in the world', and her career as sponsor of Athens, helper of Perseus and guide of Odysseus
With both engaging, whimsical illustrations and cheeky humour, the Greenbergs retell the classical exploits of the Greek goddess of wisdom and war, Athena. Three cheers for Athena, smarts, and bravery!
Snarky rendition of an old tale, highlighting both sisterhood and a cogent contemporary message
