Brilliant story

WOWZERS! I loved being back with Mercy, Truman, and their son Ollie. This mystery/thriller had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through.

Kendra is an expert at making you think everyone is involved in the crimes. Literally trust NO ONE! It’s rare that I enjoy books written in the third person, but it’s perfect for this kind of story. I love being an onlooker, seeing as the events unfold.

This is a classic case of the past coming back to get you. I’m telling you zero about the plot, just that it is gripping and that last plot twist was epic.

I love listening to Teri narrating. I really need to look for more of her work. She’s so easy to listen to. She embodies the characters, and it just feels effortless. Sean is the perfect complement to Teri. He lets us get a true sense of who Ollie is, and we even get flashbacks into the past through Devon.

I love this series. Every book has been fantastic!

A great continuation of the previous stories which can also be read as a standalone book. I personally missed the romantic parts which were more developed in the first books by Kendra Elliot. Already looking forward to the next stories!

Met every expectation from a kendra book …an absorbing book. The characters are real people as I’m able to picture them in my brain from the well described writing and feel all their feelings! Was going to listen to the last couple of chapters while driving. So glad I didn’t because talk about not seeing something coming!! I actually stared at my speakers exclaiming oh WOW!! Then my eyes leaked. So just as well I wasn’t driving!! So enjoyed that thank you kendra. Now have a book hangover and will spend the drive thinking over all the details😄

Absolutely love your books Kendra & I always give 5 stars for all 3 reviews. In this case I felt personally tht I wanted to say, tht I really don’t enjoy the 2 part narration. I’d cope if the new male narration did new voices; but it so hard to hear characters you’ve listened to for years, having the voices changed by 2 separate narrate terms. I know this has been the case for the last couple of books, but I hoped it would get better; Mercy’s voice has always been done exceptionally well by, Teti Schnuabelt & I enjoyed her doing akk of the main characters. I understand tht sometimes after a book has been through many series over years. A much beloved narrator, may want to leave etc.. but Teir has gone & Mercy & Trueman & so on; are swapping narrators ( their voices sound so different) Every chapter or twice in a chat. It may only be me, but I think others will feel the same. I’m sorry Kendra but it hard to now listen to these books book, I almost didn’t finish this last one. As always I love the story
