(Tudor
Rose Book 1)

Frustrated by his own failures at matrimony,
King Henry VIII punishes an insolent nobleman by commanding him to marry the
vagabond woman caught stealing his horse. Stephen de Lacey is a cold and bitter
widower, long accustomed to the sovereign's capricious and malicious whims. He
regards his new bride as utterly inconvenient…though undeniably fetching.

But Juliana Romanov is no ordinary thief—she is
a Russian princess forced into hiding by the traitorous cabal who slaughtered
her family. One day she hopes to return to Muscovy to seek vengeance.

What begins as a mockery of a marriage
ultimately blossoms into deepest love

Both story and narration outstanding, loved the gypsies and what they bought to the storyline.
I was very moved several times by the solidarity and coming together of cultures for one lovely and charismatic person.
So, so sad in places and yet funny in others absolutely loved this book if I could give more stars I would.

Outstanding and sweet

Enjoyed this story very much. Slightly different to the other books of this this genre. Brilliantly performed by Alex Wyndham who never ceases to deliver to bring the characters to life. I applaud the choice to use this narrator, he is the icing on the cake of a cracking story. Looking forward to the next book in the series

Starting in Russia and ending in England, a Good Adventure Story. Characters are well defined. Alex Wyndham is as usual a superb narrator.

Action, Revenge and Love.

I love Alex Wyndham but not even he could tempt me to finish this audiobook. The plot is just too ridiculous as are the characters.

Nonsense
