On the surface, this is a biography of an accomplished seeker who mastered the practices of yoga and brought a system for understanding the mysteries of body, mind, and spirit to students in the West. But, like the life of Swami Rama, this audiobook offers more than a sequence of astonishing events. As you read the stories of authentic guru-disciple relationships Swami Rama had both with his master and with his own students, you will see how the spiritual wisdom is transmitted through generations. This book also serves as a guide to advanced practices of yoga and tantra not commonly understood in modern times.

The wisdom of these stories is beyond the power of words. As you read Pandit Tigunait's account of life with his master, you will feel drops from the timeless stream of the Himalayan Tradition infusing your heart with wisdom and understanding.

Eleştirmen yorumları

"I first met Swami Rama in 1970 at the Menninger Institute, when he demonstrated remarkable control of ‘involuntary’ functions, especially heartbeat. I had no idea at the time how complex he was as a individual or how remarkably realized as a spiritual adept and teacher. And even though I was aware of his work in India and America over the years, I still did not have a full sense of his rich life until I read Pandit Rajmani Tigunait’s biography of him. This informative and very personal narrative gives a memorable and impressive picture of a modern-day saint, whose legacy is very much alive in both the East and the West." (Andrew Weil, M.D.)
"A rare glimpse into a masterful teacher. Very inspiring and well written. It’s an open window into a lifestyle that we might not see again." (Lilias Folan, of the PBS yoga series Lilias!)
"Pandit Tigunait eloquently relates the wisdom of Swami Rama and his lineage. One recurring theme is to remember what is truly important in life - to know our divine nature. It’s a book you’ll want to listen to over and over again." ( Yoga Chicago)

Such a wonderful wonderful book. Full of endless stories, recollections and insights into Swami Rama's life; his master and grand master.
I have just finished listening to it and I know I will listen again and again. There are so many layers to this, that I know I will absorb something different each time.
My endless gratitude for sharing this with us all.

This is my favourite book of all time and I absolutely love Swami Rama. this audio book doesn't do any justice to the book/readers- how profound the messages are in this book but the way it is rread and recorded sounds like news reading. audio book is disappointing
Please read the original book ,paper pack.
