When the New York Jazz Society acquires a fifty-year old letter from Georgia Valentine, questions arise over the legendary vocalist's death. Did she give herself a fatal dose of heroin, as the original investigators ruled, or did someone kill her? And if it was murder, what was the motive? Casey moves her operation from San Francisco to New York to investigate the cold case. With no shortage of suspects, Casey ultimately uncovers evidence revealing a surprising killer.©2012 Joan Merrill (P)2014 Joan Merrill Dedektif Gizem Kadın Kurgu Kurgu Women Sleuths Suç New York

Eleştirmen yorumları

"A very welcome addition for the growing army of fans of Joan Merrill's series of jazz-connected detective novels featuring Casey McKie…Clancy's voice is a perfect fit for the mood, effortlessly conjuring up the atmosphere, then and now, of New York's jazz scene…The crisp pace and snappy dialogue of Joan Merrill's books is brought to vibrant life by Alisa Clancy and this will appeal both to lovers of crime fiction and to jazz fans. Those who are fans of both genres will be especially delighted." ( Jazz Mostly, Jazz Journal International)
