Written in third person, this festive novella mixes humour with a touch of vulnerability. Scott, an ER doctor, gets locked out on Christmas Eve and ends up spending the night with Piper, the stand‑up comedian next door. Even in the shorter format, there was enough story to make both characters likeable. The holiday setting added charm, and the narrators were great, bringing warmth to the performance. Overall, it was cosy, hopeful, and easy to finish in one sitting.

Enjoyable short romance for the festive season. Light listen. If you enjoy the genre and are looking for a shorter book, this is worth a try.

This is a lovely, funny and chaoticly crazy Christmas for Piper and Scott, two neighbours who have never actually met but have a quirky text relationship with neither realising who the other is, even after they do meet. I really like both Piper and Scott, the situations they find themselves in both add amusement and make them relatable. However, unlike the rest of this series the characters in this book speak about themselves in the third person, which I struggled with and found I didn't like.
I listened to this on Audible with Kindle Unlimited.
