Özet

From the mind of the million-copy best seller M.J. Arlidge comes the brand new serial killer thriller starring Detective Inspector Helen Grace.

'You have one hour to live.'

Those are the only words on the phone call. Then they hang up. Surely, a prank? A mistake? A wrong number? Anything but the chilling truth... That someone is watching, waiting, ready to take your life in one hour.

But why?

The job of finding out falls to DI Helen Grace: a woman with a track record in hunting killers. However, this is one case where the killer seems to always be one step ahead of the police and the victims.

With no motive, no leads, no clues - nothing but pure fear - an hour can last a lifetime....

Not as good as the others in the series I'm afraid! Hoping for a better one next time.

A bit of a disappointment.

I love this author and the Helen grace series- tried audio book for this one as read the previous - the reader is quite hard to follow in regards to tone of book but that’s just my personal opinion. Great story though and what a twist!

Love the books

No need for over 100 chapters so long winded it just went on and on was so glad to get to the end, I don't think I will be listening to any more books by this author

Far to long winded

It’s an ok story but it should have been so much better. I’m sure I’ve listened to other books by this author that have been much better. For me, the best bit about it was the ending. Right at the very end. Not because it was over but because somehow it made me want to listen to the next in the series.

Having persevered at the beginning, then been irritated that it wasn’t improving, I’d finally come to the conclusion that the only good thing about it, apart from interesting plot twists, was it made me want to start writing again, as I’m sure I could do better than this; I hung on till the end, my mind already working on what to listen to next, when the very last paragraph made me think “oh, there must be another one…” and now I’m contemplating looking up the next book in what was a rather uninspiring, frustrating listen. How annoying.

An okay story with some twists

Good story as always, and Elizabeth Bower is back narrating, which makes such a difference.
