Three passengers are dead. Fifty-six are injured. The interior cabin virtually destroyed. But the pilot manages to land the plane. . . .

At a moment when the issue of safety and death in the skies is paramount in the public mind, a lethal midair disaster aboard a commercial twin-jet airliner bound from Hong Kong to Denver triggers a pressured and frantic investigation.

Would you consider the audio edition of Airframe to be better than the print version?

No

Any additional comments?

Awful conversion from CD, announces when at 'the end of the disc' and has several glitches...fortunately none that completely spoilt the story.

Compelling read (listen!), lazy formatting

I love Crichton but had never tried this one before because it sounded dull compared to say Jurassic Park. I was surprised because although far fetched ( trade unionists trying to kill people) and what Crichton novel isn't i really found i had to know what had happened to the plane.

Should be boring...just isn't!

This story is somewhere in between ... but I certainly enjoyed the ride! Not too much concentration called for so perfect for long journeys or as a distraction to mundane tasks. The storyline has 'body' though not Arnold Schwarzenegger's, no less enjoyable for that! Suspense - give it a go!
